The Mitsubishi Colt CZ3 & CZT
Mitsubishi Motors has released the first picture of its top of the range 150bhp Colt from the all-new 3-door Colt CZ3 range. Due to go on sale early 2005 the Colt CZ3 range, including the Colt CZT turbo charged variant. Shorter than its 5-door sister model, with a lower roofline, more sculpted body sections, wide sills, longer doors and teardrop rear quarter windows, Colt CZ3 represents a more dynamic expression of New Colt's One-Motion design theme.
The stylish and innovative new Citroën C4
Citroën has revealed first official pictures of the stunning new C4, ahead of its world debut at this year's Paris Motor Show. The new Citroen C4 will be presented in two striking and distinctively different bodystyles, and will introduce several major innovations, class-leading aerodynamics as well as numerous significant comfort and convenience features.
Aston Martin Racing reveals DBR9
Aston Martin Racing has revealed further details of its all-new DBR9 that will spearhead the marque's return to international motor racing in 2005. This new GT racing car, which is based on the latest Aston Martin production sports car, DB9, is being prepared by Aston Martin Racing's partners, Prodrive, based at Banbury, UK. Prodrive is responsible for the design, development and management of the DBR 9 racing programme.
The Alfa Crosswagon Q4
In 1992, the Alfa 155 introduced a new Alfa Romeo concept of sportiness that became enshrined in the codename Q4. Now the same glorious name returns on the new Alfa Crosswagon Q4 and Alfa Sportwagon Q4, the models that mark Alfa Romeo's return to the world of 4WD. Both models mark the first outing for a new transmission with 4 permanently engaged drive wheels, three differentials and preferential torque distribution to the rear.
The fastest Noble yet
With a power to weight ratio of 400bhp per tonne, the Noble M400 is by far the most powerful car in the M12 range, hitting 60mph from standstill in 3.5 seconds and 100mph in just 8.0 seconds. At the heart of the M400 is the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine found in the standard M12, but thanks to high-lift camshafts, larger turbochargers and revised fuel injection, power has been increased by 21 per cent to 425bhp, while torque is up by 11 per cent to 390lb ft.
The 1007 concept
Peugeot presented its latest creation - the 1007. Inspired by the "Sésame" concept car unveiled at the 2002 Paris Motor Show, the Peugeot 1007 is a small one-box saloon. The 1007 is a new offering on the steadily growing B segment (small cars). Sales on this segment increased by 72% between 1983 and 2000. The B-segment represents more than 35% of cars sold in Europe and the trend is expected to continue with sales increasing by a further 17% over the next ten years.
The Noble M12 GTO-3 and GTO-3R
In 2000, the Noble M12 GTO threatened to turn the established supercar market on its head. With its mix of scorching performance, race-bred dynamics and immaculate build quality, the Noble could be bought for a fraction of the cost of most of its rivals, but gave away nothing to them on the road and track. The press raved about it and demand rapidly grew as buyers saw this British-designed car as a credible alternative to cars costing more than twice the price.
Powered by the world's lightest 6-cylinder engine
BMW has announced the introduction of the new 630i with the world's lightest six-cylinder engine under the bonnet. Powered by an all-new 3.0-litre straight-six engine featuring Valvetronic technology and made from magnesium and aluminium composite, the 630i goes on sale in September 2004. Available in both Coupe and Convertible guises from launch, the 630i develops 258bhp at 6,600rpm, increased by 12 per cent compared to the current 3.0-litre petrol unit.
New Mercedes CLS 55 AMG unveiled
Imposing performance figures and exclusive specification: Mercedes-AMG has succeeded in creating a most desirable car in the form of the new CLS 55 AMG. This unique four-door coupé is driven by the powerful and refined AMG V8 supercharged engine, which generates an output of 350 kW/476 hp and 700 Nm of torque from a displacement of 5.5 litres. This gives the car truly top-notch performance: the CLS 55 AMG accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and has an electronically limited maximum speed of 250 km/h.
The new BMW E60 M5
BMW has announced first details of the forthcoming BMW M5. Faithfully resembling the Concept M5 revealed at the Geneva Motorshow in March 2004, the fourth generation of businessman's express will be the most powerful BMW road car ever built, generating 507bhp and surpassing the magical 100bhp per litre mark.
